Conventional mill operator — Sac County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Sac County, Iowa. The job is in a CNC machining unit. The role involves load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery 6+ years on the tools preferred.
