Urgent requirement: we are hiring an oven operator in Parke County, Indiana. You will be based at a busy bakery. Ideal candidate: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Day to day you will shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; score the top of loaves before baking; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing.
