Argon welding operator — Oneida County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Oneida County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift.
