Rough terrain crane operator — Macoupin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Macoupin County, Illinois. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Strong attention to safety and load limits Day to day you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends.
