Now hiring: we are hiring a sample machinist in City of Harrisonburg, Virginia. Day to day you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Meals and transport allowance provided.
