Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Pitkin County, Colorado. Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Part-time with flexible hours.
