Now hiring: we are hiring a panel welder in Morgan County, Illinois. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • ITI in welder trade or equivalent At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
