Fettler — Montgomery County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Montgomery County, Iowa. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 5+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
