Cnc setter-operator wanted in West Berkshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in West Berkshire, England. The job is in a job-work machining unit. You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls The role involves: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. £105 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
