Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Schuyler County, Missouri. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
