Backhoe loader operator — Argyll and Bute

Now hiring: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The job is on an earthmoving and excavation site. The role involves: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels Requirements: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Understanding of safe digging near underground services Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
