Abattoir worker — Washtenaw County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Washtenaw County, Michigan. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. On the job you will handle: • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Season and marinate meat on request Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
