Single needle operator • Dudley, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a single needle operator in Dudley, England. The role involves: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 3+ years on the tools preferred.
