Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Boone County, Nebraska. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler The role involves: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,500 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
