Vacancy available: sample machinist (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Moultrie County, Illinois. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
