Elevator technician — Cayuga County

Join our team: we are hiring an elevator technician in Cayuga County, New York. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. You will measure rope tension and check for broken strands; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
