Lathe programmer-operator • Lafayette Parish, Louisiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on the CNC turning shop floor. What we are looking for: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code The role involves: • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances Full-time with occasional weekends.
