Precision welder — Franklin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Franklin County, Virginia. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
