Gang bricklayer • Randolph County, Alabama

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Randolph County, Alabama. On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits.
