360 excavator operator — Union County

Now hiring: we are hiring a 360 excavator operator in Union County, South Dakota. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. Ideal candidate: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control The role involves: • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
