Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Polk County, Nebraska. You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush.
