VMC operator — Cowlitz County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a VMC operator in Cowlitz County, Washington. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to grind and set HSS cutters The role involves: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
