Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Estill County, Kentucky. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits.
