Trowel-trade bricklayer — Washington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Washington County, Maine. The job is on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
