TIG welder • Runnels County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a TIG welder in Runnels County, Texas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. You will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
