Furnace operator • Abeokuta North, Ogun State

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Abeokuta North, Ogun State. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 1+ years on the tools preferred.
