Paint and prep technician — Fife

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in Fife, Scotland. On a typical shift you will wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code. Requirements: • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. £110 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
