Great opportunity: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Jackson County, Tennessee. The job is at a drainage and utilities contractor. What we are looking for: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
