Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
