Brick and block layer • Tate County, Mississippi

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Tate County, Mississippi. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. On a typical shift you will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 5+ years on the tools preferred.
