Sample machinist — Union County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Union County, Mississippi. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience.
