Join our team: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Safana, Katsina State. Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Current medical and eyesight certificate Day-to-day duties: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift Full-time with occasional weekends.
