Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You will work at a busy production line. The role involves: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
