Vacancy available: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Moray, Scotland. You will work on a commercial construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Your main tasks: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
