Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Rowan County, North Carolina. The job is at a container port. Your main tasks: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
