Argon welding operator • Webster County, Georgia

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Webster County, Georgia. You will be based on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination On a typical shift you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
