We are recruiting: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Washington County, Wisconsin. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. What we are looking for: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Day to day you will score the top of loaves before baking; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends.
