Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Talbot County, Georgia. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) You will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Pay around $4,500 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
