Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Biriniwa, Jigawa State. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
