Banksman wanted in Sumner County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Sumner County, Kansas. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
