Counter butcher — Pocahontas County

Join our team: we are hiring a counter butcher in Pocahontas County, Iowa. The job is in a supermarket meat department. You will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
