Foundry labourer • Carver County, Minnesota

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Carver County, Minnesota. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
