Immediate opening: crawler dozer operator (Michigan)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crawler dozer operator in Lenawee County, Michigan. The role involves: • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes Requirements: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) Six days a week, one day off.
