Sewing machine operator • Harrison County, Iowa

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Harrison County, Iowa. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Day to day you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Overtime paid at a premium rate.
