Immediate opening: milling machine operator (England)

Join our team: we are hiring a milling machine operator in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work The role involves: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
