Immediate opening: we are hiring a road roller operator in Umatilla County, Oregon. The job is at a road-building project. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise The role involves: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift 3+ years on the tools preferred.
