Crawler crane operator • Etowah County, Alabama

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Etowah County, Alabama. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Day to day you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
