Immediate opening: foundry worker (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Nottoway County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
