Mechanical press operator — Calhoun County

Join our team: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Calhoun County, South Carolina. Day to day you will deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; record output and downtime on the production sheet; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components. Requirements: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred 1+ years on the tools preferred.
