You should have: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits Day-to-day duties: • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals Six days a week, one day off. $200 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
